Here's one quirky thing though, there are moments in life where everyone around you wants to take a picture. Like, a celebrity walks by. Or you are at the top of a long climb. Or you're at the zoo. Are people in these situations going to be just a sea of voices saying in round "OK Glass take a picture, OK Glass take a picture"?

I found that the most unconvincing part of the video. Quite apart from the point you mention, even in the most-likely-edited video there was a noticeable lag between when she said to take the picture and when it happened, and that is not accounting for the second and a half it takes to actually say the sentence. How would we react if anybody released a camera with a 3 second shutter lag and then advertised it as ideal for photos of action scenes? Then factor in the high probability the voice recognition fails or a network problem occurs or bluetooth disconnects or any other random thing and I can guarantee this is 100% absolutely the worst possible way to try and take a picture of any scene you care about.

Pictures are all moving to video streams nowadays anyway, like the recently announced HTC One. Just keep a stream going and have the voice prompt tag a place in the stream three seconds earlier.

The obvious thing to do is to merge emotiv [1] with glass, so you will think "OK Glass take a picture".

Granted that with the current state of emotiv/brain type interfaces, rather than thinking, you're going to be in a crowd doing the most amazing facial contortions to take a picture. It'd make a great scene for a comedy movie!

seriously though subvocalization could maybe work for very common verbs like "take a picture" or "start a video".

That's what I don't like about voice control. I'm too shy/reserved to do that kind of thing in public.

you would hope people would be able to use this with a certain amount of tact. Also, a simple button on the side of the glasses could be used for silent photos, or some other function perhaps.
