Amazon and Tesla have financial privileges that a metalworking shop with a few dozen to a few hundred employees don’t have.

The adoption of CNC machine clearly shows that it isn’t true that metalworking shops don’t plan for the future.

Maybe, maybe not. But comment I replied made universal statements about how the market is inherently unsuited for long term thinking.
