I think there's something more interesting going on. We (coders) use LLMs to write code and still get paid, because what we bring to the table is context across a multitude of coding tasks.
There are art projects like this, but many traditional art projects are quick one-shot deals. Make a logo, design a business card, make a tshirt design. Bite sized, do the work, get paid, move on.
LLMs are great at short context tasks. A lot of art is short context. Building the software that runs a bank is not.
If you want to work as a professional artist in the age of LLMs, move into long context work. If it isn't already, it will be impossible to make a living off of fiverr.
