Okay, so if I buy something expensive, and then go to a different state, I should be exempted from laws saying it's illegal because I happen to disagree with them? That seems way more "funny" to me
Yeah. There's no reason the legal tint level should be different on an SUV vs car.
That's not for you to decide, though. If you don't like a law, work to get it changed, don't visit the place that has that law, or stop doing what is breaking that law. Those are your options.

There is no logic to their tint law. I live in a community that exists in 2 states. And civil disobedience is morally ok. Anyway, nobody is going to pull me over for my tint and if they do, that's fine, I know I'm risking a ticket. It's not that serious.
