Obviously those that benefit from AI have no ethics and morals. You can see it daily here.

I don't know if that's true, for most programmers AI has either led a lost job, a more boring job, or maybe an easier job but without any gains in pay or reduction in hours.

Within the heterogeneous group “programmers”, those who are benefiting the most from AI are also among the least scrupled (see e.g. Digital Ocean can find $3,000,000.00 in 4 days for DHH’s vibe-coded distro setup scripts[1]), while the most selfless are getting shafted the hardest (see e.g. the same Digital Ocean can’t find $50.00 a month for the open-source developers who build and maintain the distros[1]).

Given the number of people who work at Facebook, yes, many of us are.

Only a minority of programmers are benefiting from LLMs, so I think the theory holds. Most programmers are either refusing to use it, or being forced to use it and miserable as a result.
