I’d guess their concern is their user’s data that is probably part of providing the AI features.
IP isn't even the worst. From an opsec perspective, having all of your IT people willingly running agents which are essentially remote access devices is terrifying. The day an inference provider goes rogue, your only hope is that every single employee running an agent in your company does it in a container with no sensitive data and no escape - which we all know is not a reasonable expectation.
