I installed new ceiling fans in my house. Everything was fine for about a year until one fan kept turning off randomly or the light would come on. It wasn't on the default setting but it was on like the second or third option in the dip switches. The fan controller died about a couple weeks later so I was never sure if it was just acting up or it's death was a coincidence. A new controller was incompatible with the old remote so never had an issue again.
