My Grandpa did MAID. He was in so much pain. Im grateful it was available for him.

Interesting to consider how to properly draw the line on when to allow this.

It argues that psychological counseling should be a key step, and is not in Canada. If true, the point seems strong.

Actually, it's required for alternatives to be presented (counselling, mental health and disability supports, community services, palliative care, offered consultations with relevant professionals). And both assessors must agree the person has seriously considered these options.

The authors are just being lazy.
