It is - effectively - exactly the same in spirit as Adobe. It's just business people fighting each other.
Which is nice don't get me wrong, but it's a different kind of nice.
Phrased differently and more inflammatory, the F in Foss does not mean fraud and hopefully never will. This however is just that. Defrauding someone out of their unjustified monopoly through GPU compute instead of merit.
Look at it. It is an identical recreation created in bad faith with zero additional creativity put into it.

Just because Adobe sucks doesn't mean that someone capable of doing that and doing it this blatantly would be trustworthy and "on our side".
In fact, given all what I've seen, I'd predict that this guy in particular will just rugpull people even harder than adobe could ever do, given that they have the inertia and friction of being a large corp softening and slowing down the blows they could deal.
As said, it's still fine because Adobe is a terrible corp, but don't be mistaken. And do not taint foss with this.
