Most Mormons are not Christian nationalists and in fact tend to oppose such, especially in comparison to most red states and evangelicals.
Every family member I know of that is still Mormon only votes MAGA. Same for 90% of the Mormons I know in my area.
They expressly want a world/govt where their kids are never exposed to people with different views or lifestyles (e.g. LGBTQA people).
None of this should be surprising for the only church to ever operate a theocracy in the US, and also the last major Christian sect to officially stop being racist (in 1978). It is in the cultural DNA.
