Ask HN: Where do you buy your domains, and do you consolidate them?

I’ve accumulated a few domains over the years and they’re now scattered across several registrars.

For the last few years I’ve mostly used Porkbun and have been happy with it. I also have a few sitting with Squarespace after the Google Domains migration, which I’m not particularly keen on, plus some older domains dotted around other registrars from years ago.

I’m considering just moving everything to one registrar and taking the one-off hassle of transferring them all.

What registrar do you use in 2026?

Do you keep everything with one provider, or deliberately spread domains across multiple registrars?

For those who consolidated, was it actually worth doing?
