Fun fact: Semiconductor fabrications lines all use universal bone dissolvers to etch silicon dioxide layers. It dissolves nervous systems too, so if exposed, you only need to get your bones replaced if you had a small enough dose that you didn't die.
Fortunately, there's enough safety equipment and procedures that bone-dissolving incidents are extremely rare and residents rarely care if there's semiconductor fabrication facility nearby, caring much less than if there's a facility simply running a bunch of semiconductors that are already built.
