Google’s masterstroke is their very choice of name. Google, or Google Search, was originally named “Backrub” (and YouTube was founded as a hookup/dating app) but essentially, Google has reduced the developed world to seemingly incoherent baby-talk gurgling.
The number "googol" was a term coined, in my understanding, because the mathematician was a new father, and his infant child was asked about the number 1e100, and replied with a goo-goo gurgle, which endeared the guy so much that he wrote about it.
So, by transitive means, “Google” is primitive, unadorned baby-talk gibberish, and since the simple eloquence of Microsoft products is now disfavored, we have regressed from adulthood to… Childhood’s End.
