Yes, fuck it. This is beyond insane, apparently I cant distribute apps just in GitHub "releases" section anymore without Google's approval. I hope some EU antimonopoly something will fry their asses.
I've been reaching out to my MEPs over this. I would encourage other EU citizens to do the same.
You still can distribute unsigned APKs via github, but the devices that install it will need to wait 24 hours the first time they enable sideloading in Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. After that they can install APKs as normal
So we need an app that remembers us of apps installed yesterday? Funny times ahead.
