Author here. Women clothing is another whole beast. Not sure if it’s due to fashion or historical reasons but convenience is the last priority in women’s fashion.
Women’s clothing has always confused me.
I was at a wedding a couple of weeks ago and the bride’s dress had pockets. It may have been the least important time in her life to have them, but it had them.
And suits are not the only piece of clothing with many pockets or with buttons. So the whole argument is “I like custom fitted suits”
