I think we are very much in the below scenario:

"I'm a carpenter and electric power tools were just invented.

In the short term, people are asking if we need all these carpenters.

In the long term, people will want bigger houses and therefore the demand for carpenters will go up"

We are in the "short term" part of the above.

My real question is how long we spend in that period before moving on to the next one.
