Tech related narrative non-fiction is the pinnacle of reading for me. My top three are Cuckoo's Egg by Cliff Stoll, American King by Nick Bolton, and Countdown to Zero Day by Kim Zetter. OSU Cyber security canon is excellent for finding these but I've read almost everything they list.
If you have any non-fiction suggestions, I'm definitely interested to hear them.
1. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance — Robert Pirsig. I read it in 1974 when I was in medical school.
2. The Power of Positive Thinking — Norman Vincent Peale. I read it when I was 14 years old in 1962 and it profoundly changed my life for the better. I wasn't "born again" nor did I become religious, rather it abruptly and completely changed for the better how I interacted with others.
3. Alive — Piers Paul Read. Published in 1974.
