At the library and picked this book randomly from off the shelf. First stamp was 1986, an old hardcover copy with no dust cover. I'd never heard of the book.

But 30 pages in, when the monk finds the cave: "Mustering his modest command of pre-Deluge English, he whispered the words haltingly: FALLOUT SURVIVAL SHELTER"
