I mean, do you think his Iron Man 2 cameo was random? He was absolutely seen as the "IRL Tony Stark" by a decent number of people back in the day. I don't know what circles you have/had been around, but he was generally liked across the board (or at the very least, not widely hated) pre-twitter acquisition.

How did you make that jump? Billionaire wants to be viewed as Tony Stark, and then appears in an Iron Man film. He provided access to SpaceX for sets on the condition that he was in the film, much like Trump and Home Alone 2.

I didn't say that. Before Twitter and his absolute detachment from reality, his backing of Tesla made him liked but his memes were never considered funny, and always cringe.
