And yet... I watched two films just a couple days ago using the MUBI App on a Samsung Smart TV (airbnb, on holidays): Dream Scenario and No Other Choice. Both had a surreal image quality, as if an AI filter had completely destroyed the director's original intention. I know for sure that at least Dream Scenario shouldn't look like that, because I had already watched it. I don't know about the other but I suspect this wasn't the original look. It's probably not MUBI's fault, but the best restoration is just powerless when the movie is watched on what most people end up watching movies this day.
