Kernel defines the proposed computational object. Halt gives you the minimal executable illustration with several conceptual images. There's five executable programs on the repo. And it's certainly not a CRDT.
The "halt" program is mainly scaffolding: ascii graphics, terminal startup.. and some very simple UDP code, with "linchpin" being a simple check if the new state is valid or not. This is something that beginner students write as one of the first distributed systems labs, not some grand invention or a demo of some new principle.

(2) how are you solving it
(3) what are the alternatives and how is your thing better/different than them
