There are any number of other reasons besides resilience that you might want to change hosting providers. I do this, and I'm not worried about the resilience of GitHub at all. For me, it's a question of branding: I want to be in control of this code's identity, and don't want that to coupled with or coopted by the hosting provider I'm using.
