And we know how the rest of the story went. That monthly recurring revenue changed everything for Apple. Did they have any recurring revenue of significance before that? I don't think they were doing music streaming. I think Nokia was probably doing streaming subscriptions from ~2005, but I know the numbers were miniscule.
