Perhaps the title needs to clarify the source of the transplanted tissue as the same patient.

But as long as the tissue isn't rejected what does the source matter?

For a liver it doesn't matter, but with this procedure the children of the man will share their half of the genes.

It's not a transplantation, as it implies a separate donor. Is it not?
