Two's Complement – Is Programming Still Fun?

This episode really resonated with me. I feel the mediocre manager thing and not understanding.

Oof. Happened to me the other day as well. As much as I thought I understood, came back to something 3 weeks later when a coworker was asking why I did it and couldn't remember. Revealed I need to maybe adjust the way I write commit messages so I can keep the context I used to keep innately before.

This for sure.

It's really sad to see what was taken away from people who loved the art of programming and are now forced to be managers of an army of robots. Maybe finding some time to code without AI assistance could help to alleviate the pain.

Relying on agents for everything is also dangerous, as it creates dependence, and codebases no longer understandable by humans.
