The shady service is only for people looking to host nitter, and it's not required. My instance uses accounts that I made myself, for free.

Wouldn't be surprised if some legal pressure wouldn't shut down these kinds of activities which involve furthering profit-gaining from going around platform limits

We should all be using more of those shady services - provided they aren't scams. Those are valuable people providing a valuable service of bypassing enshittification.
