I don't think they have pivoted. They're just realising there's nothing game-specific about the database they built for BitCraft, and they're widening the scope.
The direction is more games-to-general-purpose than games-to-AI.
I don't know the answer so take this as a shitpost, but: investors and companies are throwing a lot of money in AI, not gamedev backends. AI reoriented companies are being sold with valuations in the billions.
