The headline and the article itself are very confusing. In one part it says, and I quote “the research is still funded”.

Research isn't carried out by money, but by people with experience AND money. You need both
How about you read the article and then post? Both your questions would have been answered that way. If these are bad faith arguments, then have the day you deserve.
