When it comes to China, America has a plan

Washington now picks industries, sets prices, takes equity in private firms and conditions foreign aid on political loyalty without bothering to call it anything else.

In other words, the big plan is to become more like China.

Only one small problem with this plan, China is bigger and has a huge head start toward controlling global supply chains and manufacturing.

In other words, China is controlling and setting the agenda. What we're seeing is an act of pure desperation that sacrifices everything that has defined America --- most significantly, free trade and individual freedom.

Not to forget. It is clear that China has actual plan with actual goals and is willing to stick to it in at least medium term if not long term. And not jump priorities every single administration...

In other words, Western style democracy is forked.

Yeah, they copy everything we come up with 1st, from fighter jets to machine learning ... starting with spies at our universities ... except look what they did to their internet. Massive firewall, absolute State control over freedom of speech, enslaving the Uyghurs.
