Not at all. Among other things this shows politicians how much people care about fixing this problem. With any luck it will be another "if the people lead, the leaders will follow" moment like with SOPA.
I can't tell if you're serious or joking, but without a call to action (for gun control, mental health services, whatever you support) there's nothing to be done here. If there was a call to action, I would support it a bit more.
