Trying with German ..

The experience is unreliable? You wouldn’t say or write that. Rather: in my experience google translate late tools are unreliable.

‘Meiner Erfahrung nach sind die Google Übersetzungstools unzuverlässig’

Vielleicht sagen Sie mir, dass ich übertreibe und die gegoogelte Version sogar besser ist. Oder vielleicht stimmen Sie mir zu. Ich wünsche dir auf jeden Fall einen wunderschönen Tag, tschüss

Sie und dir (vous et tu) the informal and formal pronouns in the same text..

Unreliable seems fitting.

Not sure why people still use gtranslate (although it has had some improvements). Most current LLMs are pretty decent across the language pairs I'm familiar with. They translate based on meaning rather than word-for-word. (the One True Way, as far as I'm concerned). The only downside -and it's a big one- is that this form of translation comes out in the tone/style/voice of the translator. In the case of an LLM like claude, that means it's in the voice of claude. This might be a big deal in some circumstances where style is important; while in others being understood might be more important.

In the "Attention Is All You Need" paper (the mechanism used to power LLMs) the authors mentioned that they first started working on it for machine translation

"than I" ツ
