That’s a bit like blaming parents for their kids smoking cigarettes. Meta intentionally ignored warnings that bad things were happening as a result of its products, and doubled down on the addictive design.
Should they be sued for billions and trillions of dollars for that? At some point it's our job to not give in if things feel nice but are bad for us
That doesn't mean we can't also hold tobacco companies accountable, but it's wild to me to suggest that parents don't bear the bulk of the responsibility here.
