How to archive Everything and share It

You should probably also run a IPFS node that serves your archived files. That way others can download them and keep them available even if your server is down with no risk of tampering. There are pinning services that host them for you as a backup, or you can get your friends to do it for free.

For the most important files there's Arweave where you pay a fee to have miners store them forever. A bit expensive but super reliable, it's what the GTA leaker is using to make their website impossible to take down (most public gateways censor it but the data itself is fine). The alternative is a simple smart contract on Ethereum or Solana to record the IPFS CID for the latest version of your archive folder, that gets you a permanent public record for way cheaper but not guaranteed storage.

I feel like I’m missing something here - a lot, actually. What is this?
