Voting has always been about the lesser of two evils.
(I don't say this arrogantly, I actually did like both candidates and platforms).
With that being said, I do lament that we Canadians and Americans live in two-party states, which is terrifyingly close imo to a sort of one-party state.
But this may just be another way of saying that most all -isms cannot work.
Strengthening of anti-corruption rules and powers under any system of government should work to strengthen that system of government. I don't know what it would look like though. Any sufficiently powerful entity is just more prone to corruption, so it could move the corruption into different places, as opposed to stamping it out.
