I don’t understand this comment. Firstly you’re looking at one person’s selection, not some authoritative list of the best comments, so it mostly reflects what that person is interested in. I don’t really understand the rest of your comment but for example I get to be in lots of interesting technical discussions at work, I’m happy, and reasonably well paid. I don’t think that’s a particularly unusual situation to be in compared to other HN readers who can live in similar places to me.
