Show HN: ResumeSkip – automatically tailor your resume to jobs

just gonna make it simple: all job portals scan resumes with AI now, if you aren't tailoring your resume to each posting you're already behind.. Some companies even use AI to interview ().

You can do this yourself for free * (token cost) if you want, but you'll have to craft a good prompt, use a good agent you have access to, and validate the outcomes over time, or have an agent build an app for you to track this. That's the future we're in I guess.

TL;DR / Why us? - ResumeSkip makes it easy to tailor your resume to every job posting and track application status - We have tools for validating what we are doing is working for you - you can tailor resumes to job listings based on your data, you can get personalized interview prep guidance for a job posting and your skill set, and you can generate or improve cover letters. We don't promise they will pass any AI scanners (though we try our best to make them authentic) we do promise we do everything in our power to ground all content in your resume data itself only - no made up roles or stats. - There is a generous free tier because the end goal is to help people land jobs, but a premium feature set for those applying often or wanting to get ahead - We will be using fully anonymized data from generation and application tracking to improve the technology for everyone - the more people land jobs, the more our tool improves to help the next person applying somewhere. This is never tied to individual people, PII is stripped out, and we largely use this to fine tune our own prompts. This is opt out any time. This data will always be live at https://resumeskip.com/resume-stats

Building this because half my friend group is trying to find a new job and they're tracking it in google sheets and seeing 90%+ rejection rates (very fast rejections too), I started digging into the reality of AI screening on job portals and got really disappointed in the state of the industry.

So in short: AI screens you, you should use AI to bypass that. The future is probably going to be agents posting & applying fully hands off from us, but we're not quite there yet so this is just the start.
