Ask HN: Which software do you happily pay for every month?

None. I don't do subscriptions unless there's some overwhelming reason to, and so far, I haven't found any software that gives me such a reason.

I am a developer; I currently subscribe to Codex and Claude, and AI has truly been a huge help to me.

vi, I pay willing with my extra time using nano to never have to learn that atrocity

It's easy. If you want to save and quit, all you have to do is type this:

    :wq[enter]

…then notice you typed that text into the document and undo it with this

    [esc][shift+j]
    k[end]dl..

…before finally saving and quitting, with this, again:

    :wq[enter]

LLM subscription

youtube without ads

It's definitely worth it; ads can be really annoying at times.
