Show HN: Posts grew 6x since ChatGPT, but success rate remained relatively flat

Blog posts are explicitly excluded from 'Show HN'. Of course, since the post is about Show HNs, just remove the colon from the title and now it matches the title on the page, which is also one of the posting guidelines.

It's expected. The time investment to build the side project that you always wanted to has crashed and everyone is building tools for personal use that might never be relevant to others without shared context.

For example I created a workspace with 50+ git repos as submodule to use as a root workspace for all agentic tasks. The native git integration of vscode, cursor and zed failed to give a smooth user experience with that many repos open at once. So I spent 2 days building my own gitui that has the features and programing workflows specific to my team.

I have thought about open sourcing it but it makes no sense to do that unless I also make it generic enough and even then it does not solve a problem that others have not already solved.
