Humans' sense of smell is still evolving

Subtitle is much more informative:

A genetic study shows how smell capabilities were maintained in a hunter-gatherer population [in which having a better sense of smell is very valuable]

Kinda interesting - but IIR it's been known for a century or so that small populations which subsist by (low-tech) deep diving for pearls are genetically superior at deep diving. And several other variations on this same theme.

Everything about humans is still evolving.

couldn't read the article but Covid fucked up everyone's noses and that undoubtedly had some effect on reproduction.
