I mean yeah, just wait until you hear about Ark survival ascended: A game with a single 188gb ucas file extracts itself during update, taking over 400gb just to patch 2gb and then rezips itself.
E.g. OpenWrt's massive toolchain at least compiles down to tiny binaries to make up for itself.
