TV presenter and comedian Bill Oddie dies at 85

I grew up on The Goodies. Long time ago now, but I think it shaped my impression of comedy as much as Monty Python.

A more recent favorite comedy series is The Mighty Boosh, who list The Goodies as a strong influence.

Vale Bill Oddie, thank you for what you provided.

IIRC ... everybody and their dog seemed to cover Bill Oddie's Wild Thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMxFYfXCe4Y

uh, The Goodies covered The Troggs' Wild Thing: https://youtu.be/gSWInYFVksg

uh, might as well argue the definite Gassenhauer from Neusiedler's 1536, through Orff in the 1920s, to Hans freaking Zimmer in 1993.

He put twitching (bird watching) on the map.

The Goodies always seemed like a parallel Monty Python.

Barry Took brought together the team for Monty Python.
