Brazilian scientist propose a "shortcut" to Mars in just 7 months

> This is ∼1.5 × the C_3 delivered for New Horizons [19], but unlike New Horizons, a 2031 Mars mission must support a significantly heavier payload, perform capture at Mars, and execute a return trajectory.

Is it feasible??? It looks like the "shortcut" needs rockets that are bigger than the current ones, and the problem with the rocket equation is that it increases exponentially. My Rocket Science level is to low to understand if there is something new in the approach.
