Fable 5 dropped from subscriptions before the promised July 19 date

Before assuming a pulled model, worth checking status.claude.com-the last "they quietly removed it" thread this week turned out to be an outage that got fixed within hours.

Some more discussion on the bug: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48950477

Are you talking about that backdoor in the programme?

1 point per minute and comments from people who never make comments. Is this really that intresting?

Tought it would be reinstated by updating claude code but doesnt seem to be the case.

looks they plan to public opus 5: https://x.com/pankajkumar_dev/status/2078000475685929375

it is fixed now

Is this a bug?

Might be a bug https://status.claude.com/incidents/g613ntyj2pwf

hope so

I don't know -- it's not even showing Fable in /usage any more, in sessions that were using it just fine moments before. Seems more like a backend change to me.

looks a lot like a rag pull...
