I got shadowbanned building a Reddit tool

Nobody should be on reddit. https:/lemmy.world is a perfectly good alternative.

The politics are a bit skewed vs reality, but that's just a function of masses not being there yet. It's way better now than like 3 or 5 years ago.

"a bit skewed" is a bit of an understatement. all nu-media appears to be populated almost exclusively by nu-people.

>all nu-media appears to be populated almost exclusively by nu-people.

Which would be fixed by more people joining there. Those people are a vanishing minority after all in the real world.

Lemmy dot world is completely insane. Lemmy as a federated software platform is okay, though. You might find more reasonable people on lemmy dot dbzer0 dot com which I believe is the second most popular instance.

So you spammed and got banned. No surprise. Then an LLM wrote a blog post about it. If an LLM also wrote your spam then none of this is a surprise.

Another AI slop blogspam article:

"There's no banner, no email, no strike count."

"Not low — zero."

"No upvotes, no downvotes, no replies, no traffic."

"No replies, no votes, not even a downvote"

"It wasn't one post — it was the pattern"

The shadowban was real and the details are all mine. Style's fair game.

Is HN running an AI detector? I posted an ironic ChatGPT reply next to this comment and it was instantly flagged.
