Ask HN: Who here would agree to replace parliaments with LLMs?
no way llms can be worse than what we have now (absolute gerontocratic retardation) and i think the tech is now good enough.
It is not possible to solve social issues with technical solutions as there is always room to game the rules or hack them. Instead, this turns into a light-technocracy - ruled purely by technical experts or government by algorithm.
Who controls the LLM when it goes wrong or needs updating? Voting would likely cease to exist and it is still possible for corruption.
There are many separate technical issues with LLMs that I won't get into here, but there are better solutions to solve this issue such as introducing a fixed maximum age limit instead.

This news (and things like it) have been all over. The fact that you decided without doing the least bit of research that “no way LLMs can be worse” displays catastrophically shortsighted judgement. Please recuse yourself from any important decisions for the foreseeable future.
I just checked that the average there is 58 and 64 years. Here in Argentina, it's 53 and 58.
Here we have multy seat districts, so you can choose to vote fror a party with only young members. But I don't remember any that use that as a slogan.

FR 48 59This is needed now, because it generates income to billionaries. Now focus. With current trend, when we replace workforce with automation and AI, humans are needed less and less. So billionaries can build they autonomic empires with AI/robots all around, no need to humans. Thats like dream for them, never ending fun, and no need to worry about billions of people to feed and keep them in check. Biggest loosers of this are all those scientists and engineers who are cutting branch they sit on... For suck a smart people, they are really stupid and shotsighted..
What is needed is technocracy. Democracy is a failure. How billions of consumers can elect someone smart? Not really possible. We need smart people to rule the system, not AI. If we put AI on charge, humans will be eliminated, because its just burden to the planet.
Interesting system existed in Japan, from 50s to 90s. A War Economy adapted to make consumers goods. It worked very well, to the point that US was pissed off because it couldnt compete. So they put smart plan to invert it. And they suceeded.
it’s much easier to audit than the black box that are human gerontocrats and who also are corruptible by billionaires
Gerontocrats can’t be audited, but they can be fined and jailed. Neural networks have no fear consequences.
they are audited all the time???
AI is soulless, skeevy, moronic, incompetent, and owned by the pedophilic ruling class, which makes it indistinguishable from Congress.
If tokens are cheaper than current congressional salaries, I say fuck it, why not?
What you are describing is democracy gone very very wrong, more or less to the point where it is no longer democracy.
