I am open to a GitHub alternative, but not from these guys lol

Also most of the things that would be good have little to do with LLMs. Generating a lot of code with LLMs still feels to me like it fits fine with normal PRs and PR review.

Disclosure that I work for Graphite->Cursor->??? :^)

FWIW, Origin is owned by the Graphite folks inside of Cursor: the project was announced by Tomas, Graphite co-founder, at Cursor's Compile conference today.

https://graphite.com/ if you're not familiar, is a tool built on top of GitHub!

All I need to know is that it is actually owned by Elon Musk. A man who orchestrated DOGE that, beyond shutting down USAID and dooming millions to die[1], also stole American's social security information[2]. So why should I trust him with the source code to my business?

Is the site broken for me, or is there literally zero information on what this is besides the title of this HN post? I’ve never seen a waitlist for such little information

Guess it's about cursor own git hosting with AI capabilities. They already have cloud development agents, so this is intentional.

They announced it live on stage at their conference, apparently with no accompanying blog post.

This is very shady. How is this different from Github. Can you explains how this deals with the AI code generation at machine speed? Does human still in the loop of reviewing the AI slop?

... is not going to be clsoed source.

Really enjoyed My Homelab AI Dev Platform today, especially the comments, many of which had strong git forge integrations. https://rsgm.dev/post/ai-dev-platform/ https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48542433
