Hacker News Reader

This could be such a nice and simple Yes/No webpage. Instead, it is cluttered with links, asking me to join a discussion and a newsletter. The only thing it misses is a cookie notice.

but at least it has the "is this slop" blinking status light at the top left corner, confirming it is

at least it has a dark mode

I keep thinking Fable 5 is an instalment of the Lionhead/Microsoft RPG series...

Lol, this site got blocked by my company's network filtering for the reason "games". So you're not the only person/thing that thinks this xD

Also blocked by my company's network filter as well for the same reason.

https://huggingface.co/yuxinlu1/gemma-4-12B-coder-fable5-com... That might be the closer we can get to it lol

Folks, it's just a simple, straightforward shakedown. Anthropic will agree to work with the Department of "War" and give some lucrative pre-IPO allocation to WH insiders and Fable will be back.

Exactly!

You can also just subscribe here for updates on fable 5 status

I love this status page. Every time I see the absolute rainbow of colored bars, I think to myself: "Coding is Solved."

Yeah, but they really need to add a status bar for the status bar.

It does not need to be back.

The purpose of a fable is leading to a moral.

Which it did.

Perfection. Also, Mythos: 'The pattern of basic values and attitudes of a people, characteristically transmitted through myths and the arts.' or 'a story, tale, or legend, especially a poetic tale.'

The performance is complete. I'm kidding, just the act.

Genius comment

I'd like it back.

I can't subscribe myself: "Couldn't sign you up".

Same here. I guess it’s time to start “Is isfable5back.com Back?”

you got a chuckle from me!

“Context full, compacting”

Subscription works only for US citizens residing in the US ;)

guy running the site here. ycombinator blew up my rate limits. issue is resolved if you still wanna sign up :)

This is mainly about promoting a reddit alternative I suppose - eventually links to this unsatisfying post:

https://rhyme.com/post/53oy222/the-reddit-problem-and-how-ou...

(Rhyme dot com was expensive but mind your business - guess it’s like corporate Lemmy. Great to see the competition.)

(My comment above here may be the first link to Rhyme on Hacker News. In which case it might be an interesting soft launch.)

You want my email voluntarily for the whole purpose of telling me "Hey, Fable is back"?

Everyone would be screaming the moment that happens. No, Thanks!

No chance of this being insided:

https://polymarket.com/event/claude-fable-5-restored-for-us-...

Nah. Besides, it's totally regulated. (I'm being super sarcastic)

I don't know why I thought of Fable, the video game.

[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fable_(2027_video_game)

Sadly no. And I might lose my bet it'd be back by Tuesday... alas...

Hey, did you make a bet on Polymarket? Help me understand…why do this when it could so obviously be gamed with insider trading?

It should toggle to "Yes" when you enable night mode.

lol how is something so simple both inaccessible (poor color contrast) and not mobile friendly?

that's why you should sign up for fablewatch.com

i'm the guy that made this site, christopher from maple avenue labs, AMA

Unable to add my email

needs an mcp server

we need status page and MCP server for this.

Computer says no

Fable 5 would not allow this post due cyber sec risks

finally something useful

... why....

Lol, incredible

Bro bought a domain for just a question

This is common practice, there was one for suez canal I think (is suez open or something like that - I cannot seem to be able to find that one though, am I hallucinating?), and there is one for rust being web ready: https://www.arewewebyet.org/

It was a Mozilla thing

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Areweyet

The new evolution in vibe coded apps.

Just register the domain (jam in as much context as possible), point the DNS to AI, done!

The website cost money as well (even subsidized), domain has no difference from tokens.

.com on promo can be bought for pennies. Page gened by Sonet.

Money burning hole in pocket.

All $6?

Yep.

And a notification service

Bro, you'll spend all your money on such domains while antropic will start releasing 5 to 10 models a year. May be more :D

built using Opus 4.8 :D
