How are you feeling about the first Trillionaire?

It's not cash sitting in an account. It's completely meaningless and just used as a political lever IMO.

He didn't steal $120+ from every person on earth, he created a trillion in "value".

We aren't poorer for Tesla and SpaceX existing.

For what it's worth: I have no financial interest with any of his companies or own any of their products. I feel like I'm neutral third party.

So how do I feel? No different than before he was a "trillionaire".

Also, an IPO makes the value of a company public, but doesn't necessarily increase the value, so the IPO just made it clear that he already was a trillionaire.

Would you rather:

A: Have $100M - $1BN in cash without a calendar full of meetings and you have the freedom to control your time.

B: Have $800BN - $1TN in stock which you cannot sell and you have a calendar full of daily meetings, zero breaks, and you can’t retire or speak freely because you carry a lot of market risk to your shareholders?

IMO, Elon is this century's Howard Hughes.

Kinda, other than the fact that Elon musk has fourteen children and Howard Hughes had zero.

Zero that we know of. But back then you tended to hide your bastards.

Probate courts dug pretty deep after he died, and no one had any reasonable evidence of being his child. Nowadays they'd use DNA, but I doubt it would've made a difference.

And this century’s Charles Ponzi.

it looks like a nazi, kills millions like the nazis, even salutes like the nazis... Our pattern recognition seems lacking...

Absolutely fine.

"Bill Gates accuses Elon Musk of killing poor children by cutting foreign aid" - https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/bill-gates-accuses-elon...

alternate title : Trillionaire cuts millions in funding for poor people.

I wonder if there is any evidence linking the ebola outbreak to the reduction in aid.
