Ask HN: How do I do marketing for an app I made

2 pointsrohand71 comment

I recently created a few apps that I feel are really helpful for power users. I have showin it to a few friends and they love the idea, but I have no idea on how to market the app or get users for it. I'm sure people will like it.

Any feedback is welcome.

often the difference between apps that gain traction and those that do not, is simply marketing execution. the app may be fine but how do you cut through the noise and reach the users that have the problem the app solves? as a developer, i too wish i knew the answer. one thing is sure: it’s a lot of work.
