This is why I’m not a fan of sites like financial times. They should stick to facts. This just sounds like sour grapes and these articles are useless rants.

Why do you say "We". I doubt you gave multiculturalism your best shot.

This has to be an unserious comment. Can you substantiate any of your claims?

It's better not to engage with racist n00b accounts

Hasbara works overtime on HN these days.

I'm American, I know that Israel pays for disinformation from all religious backgrounds.

For context, their comment read:

Way to make it about jews you anti-semite. Let me guess you spent the last decade calling Trump a Nazi only to find out he is a Zionist.

Kinda weird that someone would erase such a specific accusation. I've seen dozens of dishonest provocateurs on HN do this exact thing, so I copied their comment in anticipation of eventual cowardice.

I wonder what type of person makes six-number throwaways all day, only to delete their anonymous comments?

If you can only express the conviction of your ideas behind a throwaway account then they’re not really convictions are they?

lol he is not some bond villain, thats just argumentatively bankrupt to say.

The world's first trillionaire. Likely father to dozens of children with various women, based on unusual ideology. Runs a spaceship company. Penchant for extreme politics and fascination with nazism. Pulls strings at the highest levels of government. Weird-looking, with a foreign (ie: foreign to Great Britain) accent.

If he didn't actually exist, Ian Fleming would have to invent him.

That said, this sort of article is pointless because the public know plenty about Musk, and already have decided whether they love him or hate him.

Too much social media and tweeting for a Bond villain. Putin always seems a bit like a Bond villain and has the creepy murderous thing down.

Bond villains are rarely (almost never these days, I think) state actors; crazy billionaire is a more popular choice.

Owns a car manufacturer whose cars can be remotely controlled. Just imagine the potential.

The vehicle's dashboard flickered, and at once James heard Elon Musk's voice emanate from its speakers:

"Mr Bond, you are seated in a top of the line Tesla Cybertruck. I have plotted a course on its navigation system to my Optimus robot testing facility."

The vehicle's electrical engine silently sprang to life. James thrust his hand out to pull the door latch... but there was no door latch.

Musk's disembodied voice now chuckled a strange, halting laugh - like an adolescent boy with a cigar habit.

"There are no door handles in a Tesla car, Mr Bond! I have always found door handles so inelegant. Now pay attention: in a few minutes, the Cybertruck will arrive at its destination. We are currently training a team of Optimus robots to serve as ranch hands - they are handy with a bull whip"

Wait a minute, The Naked Gun (2025) already did this!

Used a ton of his money to get republicans elected so that he could get an illegal position within the government to illegally cut oodles of programs leading to the unnecessary deaths of a huge number of people?

Posts online advocating for a race war on a nearly continuous basis.
